Privacy Policy
Effective October 11, 2026
SocialHelper (“SocialHelper”, “we”, “us”) is operated by 2821341 Alberta Inc., a corporation based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. This policy explains what information we collect when you use socialhelper.app, its API and its MCP server, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions: [email protected].
What SocialHelper does
SocialHelper lets you connect your social media and marketing accounts in one place, then publish posts and read reports (such as search, analytics and advertising performance) through our API or through AI assistants that use our MCP server. We act on those accounts only when you, a member of your workspace, or software using one of your workspace’s API keys asks us to.
Information we collect
- Your SocialHelper account: name, email address, password (stored as a one-way hash), two-factor and passkey settings, and the workspaces (teams) you belong to.
- Connected social accounts: when you connect an account, the platform gives us an identifier, display name, username, profile picture URL and the permissions you granted, plus access credentials (such as OAuth tokens or an app password). Credentials are encrypted at rest.
- Reports you request: when you or your software run a tool on a connected marketing account (for example a Search Console, Google Analytics or Google Ads report), we fetch that data from the platform and return it to you. We pass it through without keeping a copy, apart from short-lived technical logs.
- Content you publish: post text, images and videos you upload or ask us to fetch, scheduled times and platform options, and the results of publishing (post IDs, links and error messages).
- Developer settings: API key names (the keys themselves are stored only as hashes), and webhook URLs and signing secrets (encrypted).
- Technical data: IP addresses, browser and device information, and server logs, used for security, debugging and abuse prevention. We use the cookies needed to keep you signed in and protect forms. On our public website we also use Google Analytics cookies, but only if you accept them (see Cookies and analytics). We do not use advertising cookies.
How we use information
- To provide the service: sign you in, connect accounts, publish and schedule the content you submit, check whether a post went live, run the reports you request, and show you the results.
- To keep connections working: refresh access tokens before they expire, and tell you when an account needs to be reconnected.
- To send service messages, such as email verification, security notices and connection problems.
- To secure the service, prevent abuse and comply with the law.
We use data from social platforms only to provide the features you use. We do not sell personal information, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use your content or social account data to train artificial intelligence models.
Data from social platforms
We request only the permissions needed to identify the connected account and to provide the features you use: publishing on your behalf and, for marketing accounts, reading the reports you ask for. Content you publish is sent to the platform you choose and is then subject to that platform’s own terms and privacy policy. You can disconnect an account in SocialHelper at any time, and you can also revoke our access in the platform’s own settings.
If you connect a Google account (Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Business Profile or YouTube), SocialHelper’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. SocialHelper uses YouTube API Services; by connecting YouTube you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google’s handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Who we share information with
- The platforms you publish to, to carry out your requests.
- Members of your workspace, who can see its connected accounts, posts and activity.
- Service providers that run SocialHelper for us under confidentiality obligations: Hostinger (server hosting, United States), Cloudflare (DNS, network security and content delivery), our email delivery provider, and Google (Google Analytics on our public website, only if you accept analytics cookies).
- Others when required: to comply with law or valid legal process, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a merger or sale of our business, in which case this policy continues to apply.
Cookies and analytics
Our public website (the pages you can read without signing in) asks before it uses analytics. If you accept, it loads Google Analytics, which sets cookies to count visits and show us which pages are useful: the pages you view, how you arrived, your browser and device type, and your approximate location. Google Analytics does not log or store IP addresses. It keeps visit-level data for 2 months and data tied to its cookie identifier for 14 months. We have turned off sharing this data with Google for Google’s own purposes, and Google’s advertising features (Google signals and ad personalization).
If you reject, Google Analytics is not loaded at all. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page of the website. The dashboard, the API and the MCP server do not use analytics cookies.
Where information is stored
We are based in Canada. Our servers are in the United States, and some service providers process data in other countries. Information stored outside Canada may be accessible to authorities in those countries under their laws.
How long we keep information
- Access credentials are deleted as soon as you disconnect an account.
- Posts, uploaded media and activity history are kept while your workspace exists, so you can see what was published. You can ask us to delete them at any time.
- When you delete your SocialHelper account, we delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we must keep it to meet legal obligations. Backups are overwritten on a rolling basis.
See Data deletion for step-by-step instructions.
Security
All traffic uses HTTPS. Social account credentials and webhook secrets are encrypted at rest, API keys are stored only as hashes, and access to production systems is restricted. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
You can access, correct or delete your personal information, and withdraw consent by disconnecting accounts or deleting your account. Depending on where you live (for example under Canada’s PIPEDA, the EU and UK GDPR, or California law), you may have additional rights such as data portability or objecting to certain processing. Contact [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. You may also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or your local data protection authority.
Children
SocialHelper is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We will post changes here and update the effective date. For significant changes we will notify you by email or in the dashboard.
